Brand new website (still under construction!)
We use palaeogenomic tools to explore the genetic makeup of animals in the past, providing insights into evolutionary processes, extinction events, and the relationships between ancient and modern animals. General topics that can be addressed using palaeogenomics: evolution and phylogenetics, adaptation and selection, as well as species extinction and conservation. As part of MEEB Bangor, we have dedicated cleanlab facilities in which we can process ancient and historical samples, and use high-throughput sequencing methods to recover palaeogenomic data.
